Our club is proud to have awarded approximately $50,000 in scholarship money over the years.  This year we anticipate that five scholarships at $1000 each will be awarded.   To be considered for the 2017 Franklin Woman's Club scholarship the  young woman MUST:  

               (1) reside in Franklin Township,

               (2)  graduate high school this upcoming spring 

               (3)  and be accepted to a 2 or 4 year college.   

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist with college expenses.  The deadline to receive the completed scholarship application and supporting documents (recommendation letters, transcripts, etc.) is April 7, 2017. Please note the completed applications may be sent via email ([email protected]or regular mail (  Franklin Woman's Club, P O Box 5793, Somerset, NJ 08875) as noted on the application.  If mailed, the postmark must be no later than April 5, 2017.


The scholarship money will be sent directly to the recipient's school of choice.

2014 Scholarships and Girls’ Career Institute

Our club is proud to have awarded approximately $30,000 in scholarship money over the years.  This year eight (8) young women will be awarded a scholarship in the amount of $1500 each.   To be considered for the 2014 Franklin Woman's Club scholarship the  young woman must  (1) reside in Franklin Township, (2)  graduate high school this upcoming spring (3)  and  be accepted to a 2 or 4 year college.   The purpose of this scholarship is to assist with college expenses.  The deadline to receive the completed scholarship application and supporting documents (recommendation letters, transcripts, etc.) is April 8, 2014.

Our club also sponsors high school junior girls to attend Girls’ Career Institute, a program offered by the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs.  This program allows them  to learn about potential careers while getting a taste of college life at Rutgers/Douglass.
